chapter 6

The animals are asked to work on Sunday afternoons as well, on a voluntary basis, though any animal that did not work on Sunday had their rations halved. By autumn it is clear that the harvest is a poorer one than the previous year. This will make the coming winter all the more difficult.Progress on the windmill is laborious and slow. The stones with which it is to be built have to be hauled to the top of the quarry and thrown from there to the bottom, so that the stones can be broken into the appropriate sizes. It takes until the end of the summer to accumulate enough stone to begin building the windmill, work which depends almost entirely on the tremendous efforts of Boxer, who works himself harder than ever before.
As the work on the harvest and the windmill proceeds, the animals find themselves running out of supplies. Items such as paraffin, seeds, manure and machinery could not be produced on the farm. This problem is resolved when Napoleon announces one day that Animal Farm will henceforth enter into trading arrangements with some of the surrounding farms. Hay and wheat from the farm will be sold, and the hens are told that they will have to give up some of their eggs, a sacrifice that they should be proud to make. Some of the animals are doubtful about this move, seeming to remember an agreement in the early days after the rebellion never to have anything to do with humans. Again, Squealer puts any doubts to rest in the following days, informing them that such a resolution was never written down. One thing in the book that stood out to me was how some of the animals did not stand up for them selfs. One animal said, "we must take a stand." When the animal said that it touched me. The night before I stood up and gave a speech and I stood up for myself.

Predictons ? My prediction is that the Animals are going to kill her for not obeying the rules.

If i had to choose between Napoleon and Snowball , who would i follow ? i would follow Snowball because he represents trotsky , he wants to make life better for all. He's also young , smart , and a good speaker. In the end he's a better person than Napoleon so i rather follow him.

I just finished reading a review on by the time you'll read this , ill be dead . It sounds pretty crazy & sad . It talks about a girl who is suicidal and is bullied . Her name is Daelyn and people pick on her being overweight. Her parents are very worried about her , they practically stalk her because they don't want her doing anything stupid. But her life completely changes when she meets a boy , hes mysterious and weird things happen.

I cant stand reading . Kind of the reason why i dont enjoy this class because that's mostly all we do in here read. Reading was never my thing and it never will be no matter what book it is. its boring and it puts me to sleep. When i read i think about alot of other things. I can never stay on topic. Some of the things im interested in is music , my phone , ect. Reading is important because you learn new things and new words.

reflection pgs. 85 - 97

What i read in these pages were basically that Elie met a guy named Zelman . They started running because the SS oficer told them to do so . So they ran & what ended up happening was that as Zelman & Elie started running. Zelman got a stomach cramp & couldnt go on . So he stopped , Elie felt bad but coudnt stop runing . As Elie got closer to his destination he got to lie down & he soon fell asleep . Later on they had to leave to Gleiwitz & they found out the Russians were there & the Germans . Then as they left the Germans seperated Elie & his father but they kept them as close as possible . " Wake up son come on wake up " This quote stood out to me because Elie fell asleep 7 he could barely wake up to do surgery . So he started to get his strength back little by little .

His foot was infected because of the cold . He cant walk or do anything , he was sent to a infirmary for medical assistance . He had hope then he was getting seened by a jewsih doctor someone he trusted he felt safe & good around him , due to the infection he had to get operated . He had been suffering a whole lot its just crazy how he says " i have more faith in Hitler than in anyone else . He alone has kept his promises , to the Jewsih people " He no longer had trust or hope in God . Even though he dosent like Hitler he's been noticing that's the only person who's been keeping his promises . Rumors began that red army was getting closer & the camp would be evacuated except for the infirmary . His dad would of survived if Elie would have made his stay .

Boy had to watch a little boy around his age be hung up in the gallows and was forced to watch him pass away before he was able to eat his bowl of soup




Resurrected - rising from the dead . The opposite of resurrected is dying . A dead person back to life .

I picked this picture because it shows how god rose from the dead . how he was resurrected .

Ellie wanted his parents to come back from being resurrected .

summary ,

Boy watched his father get beat , because they thought he wasn't working hard enough . He kept being whipped and kept trying to protect himself . They weren't aloud to have their bowl of soup until they watched some boy get hanged . And when the signal came the three chairs were tipped over . The 2 men died instantly but the child remained for more than half an hour alive lingering between life and death . We were forced to look at him .

Friday was a boring day . I got so sick that i stood home the whole day and , cancelled out of work saturday morning . I couldnt sleep the whole entire night i was coughing up a storm and my ashma pump wasn't doing any justice . Since i didn't sleep the whole night . I was knocked out the whole morning until 2 0'clock . I woke up took a hot long shower and started to feel better .

So i decided to go to a baby shower i was invited to . I went shopping got nice presents for her baby boy . Went and ate lots of food. We danced , ate , talked about good times and , took lots of pictures . It was a fun night. Then after that i went to visit my mom and chit chat for a while . At last, went home and fell asleep . Sunday morning woke up and got ready for work . Rest of the day was pretty much wack. I ended my day writing these 2 paragraphs .

Which Super Power would you like to have & why ?

If i could have any super power . It would be to be invisible . Just imagine you could be in a room your not wanted in and hear everything they say . When someone you know dosen't really like you and , you feel as though they talking bad about you . You could secretly turn yourself invisible and , be standing right next to them listening to everything there saying with them not having a single clue . It could help out in many ways . You could see who your real friends are and , what they really think about you .

You don't have to hide to be noisy just change into your super power . You could go into the Confrence room where teachers talk about you and what there plans are for you . When your parents lock the door to discuss private things you could easy vanish threw the walls and , be aware of everything . Another thing you could do is if your shy and dont want someone to see you . you could easily just turn yourself invisible . Therefor this would be the super power i would like to have .
